Environmental Protection Committee
Upholding the aim to implement energy conservation mechanisms, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, fulfill corporate social responsibility, improve the overall corporate image, reduce operating cost, and assure sustainable business and development, Coretronic established the Environmental Protection Committee (EPC) in 2015. The head of the Integrated Business Service serves as the “Convener”, the divisionlevel manager of the Integrated Business Service serves as the “Committee Chair”, the supervisor of the Safety and Environment Division serves as the “Management Representative”, and the supervisors of each unit or representative such as R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Facility Management, Safety and Environment, and Factory Affairs serve as “Members”. Additionally, the Company set up the Sustainable Energy Committee and the EPC Team under the jurisdiction of the EPC.

✔ Review short-, medium-, and long-term net-zero goals and implementation results on a quarterly and annually basis.
✔ Establish, plan, and implement targets, strategies, and action plans for climate change, carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, and net-zero.
✔ Conduct climate-related risks and opportunities identification.
✔ Promote pollution prevention, emergency response, and preventive measures.
✔ Focus on and advocate key points of international initiatives.
✔ Integrate and implement measures related to green actions.
- Sustainable Energy Committee
The division-level manager of the Integrated Business Service serves as the “Committee Chair”, and the supervisors of the Factory Affairs Division from each factory serve as “Members”.
✔ Review electricity, renewable energy, and water resource usage on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
✔ Promote corporate energy conservation, carbon reduction projects, and energy transition.
✔ Implement short-, medium-, and long-term net-zero strategies and goals.
✔ Report the status of goal achievement to the EPC on a quarterly basis.

Strategies for Climate-Related Risks
- By the analysis result of the material issues in 2024, we identified 6 concerned issues related to the environment. The priority of concerns from high to low are Climate Change, Green Solutions, Waste Management, Materials Management, Water Resource Management, and Biodiversity.
- Coretronic, with its core philosophy of "Environmental Sustainability 4G Force", continues to implement eco-friendly measures and the "Green Life Practice Program", inviting green partners to participate in "Green Earth, Green Action, and Green Knowledge". By enhancing employees' awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection and reducing office water consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, Coretronic aims to create a green factory. - We have been the TCFD supporter, established TCFD Group, introduced TCFD structure and identified climate-related risks and opportunities to evaluate and manage relevant climate-related risks and opportunities. For further information, please visit Act on Climate Change.
- We actively participate in Taiwan Climate Partnership (TCP) ,Taiwan Alliance for Net Zero Emissions (TANZE), and CDP. In 2024, We received Leading level (A) rating in Climate Change and Water Security Evaluation, and Leadership level (A) rating in Supplier Engagement Assessment.
- We set the carbon reduction target based on SBT 1.5°C scenario. In 2022, we officially proposed Net Zero Statement and aim to reduce GHG emissions (Category 1 and 2) by 25% by 2025, 50% by 2032, and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Meanwhile, we have also submitted our carbon reduction commitment to SBTi and received approval. Now, Coretronic had pass SBT verification by April 2024.
- To demonstrate its firm commitment to environmental protection, Coretronic proactively signed 4 international environmental initiatives in 2024. These include the “Biodiversity Conservation and No Gross Deforestation Commitment”, through which the Company conducted assessments using the BRF (Biodiversity Risk Filter), aspiring to achieve a net positive ecological impact and meet its no-deforestation goal by 2050. In addition, Coretronic actively engaged in environmental charity activities and responded to the needs of local public agencies. For five consecutive years, the Company has adopted public restrooms and coastal areas. It also converted the benefits of its environmental campaigns into monetary donations and, for the first time, launched green travel initiatives, extending its green influence from within the organization to the broader community.
