InnoSpectra Upgrades Smart Miniature NIR Spectrometer to Target the Global Pharmaceutical Safety Market
July 24, 2025 – InnoSpectra Corporation (ISC), a subsidiary of Coretronic Corporation (5371.TW), will participate in BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025, to be held from July 24 to 27 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. ISC will showcase its independently developed intelligent miniature NIR spectrometer. During the exhibition, ISC will conduct live demonstrations of pharmaceutical scanning and identification applications, highlighting its technological strengths in drug authentication and quality control, and offering new perspectives on global pharmaceutical safety supervision.
In light of the persistent proliferation of counterfeit and substandard medicines worldwide, pharmacists and consumers often face challenges in immediately verifying the authenticity of medications, even with existing national drug regulatory mechanisms. ISC is collaborating with domestic and international medical and research institutions to actively build and expand a pharmaceutical model database. By integrating NIR spectroscopy with machine learning models, ISC has developed a non-destructive, rapid solution for medicine identification. The product to be demonstrated, the intelligent miniature NIR spectrometer, enables real-time screening and identification of common prescription medicines, making it suitable for everyday use. Users may simply connect the miniature NIR spectrometer to a smart device to scan a medication, and the system automatically compares its NIR spectral characteristics against the pharmaceutical database. This allows for rapid measurement and analysis results, significantly enhancing medication safety while reducing potential risks to human health.
Furthermore, ISC is committed to expanding into international markets, collaborating with overseas partners to promote pharmaceutical scanning and implementing the technology within government agencies worldwide, providing real-time enforcement support and enhancing the effectiveness of pharmaceutical safety supervision. Domestically, ISC continues to deepen its cooperation with medical institutions to expand its pharmaceutical model database and extend the application of the technology to both solid and liquid pharmaceuticals, striving to deliver a more comprehensive and intelligent solution for pharmaceutical scanning and identification. Looking ahead, ISC will continue to invest in the R&D of smart medical technologies and international collaborations, integrating NIR spectroscopy with AI-driven big data analysis to further advance medicine identification capabilities, with the goal of becoming an innovative leader in safeguarding medication safety.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 will be held from July 24 to 27 on the 4th floor of Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. ISC’s booth is located at N604 (within National Science and Technology Council (NSTC)-Hsinchu Science Park Pavilion). We welcome visitors from all sectors to visit ISC’s booth and experience firsthand the application of spectral technology in smart healthcare.
