Health Care

 

"Employee health" is a vital foundation for the Company’s sustainable development. A healthy workplace environment not only enhances employee work efficiency, morale, and satisfaction, but also effectively reduces workplace injuries and health risks, thereby improving the Company’s overall productivity and competitiveness. The Company aims for its employees to enjoy both physical and mental well-being as well as a joyful life. With the support of senior management and employees, the health management team actively promotes various health initiatives, such as weight loss programs, metabolic syndrome prevention, and first aid training, to foster a friendly and health-conscious workplace.

 

 
 
Comprehensive Health Management

 

Annual Health Examination

  • Taiwan plants: Annual health examinations are conducted at a frequency exceeding legal requirements. In addition to statutory examination items, the Company also provides complimentary additional examinations, including glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), abdominal ultrasound, uric acid, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP, liver cancer screening), fecal occult blood testing, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and non-contact tonometry. In 2025, the health examination completion rate reached 99%. Employees whose examination results showed significant abnormalities in certain items were promptly notified and assisted with medical referrals to implement chronic disease prevention and early health management. During the examination period, the Company also distributed a “overwork survey” to understand employees’ personal and work-related fatigue conditions. Based on the survey results, employees identified as having stress-related risks were invited to undergo health consultations and overwork risk assessments with healthcare professionals.

  • Wujiang plants: In accordance with RBA requirements, annual health examinations were conducted for special operation personnel, including forklift operators, electricians, and low-voltage electrical workers. In 2025, a total of 44 employees underwent health examinations, among whom 5 employees were identified with occupational contraindications. Following physicians’ evaluations, these employees were reassigned to different positions.

 

Annual Special Operation Health Examination

  • Taiwan plants: In 2025, examination items included ionizing radiation, lead, n-hexane, dust, and cadmium. A total of 43 employees underwent examinations, achieving a 100% examination rate.

  • China plants: Employees who may be exposed to hazardous factors during work operations are arranged to undergo special operations health examinations before assignment, during employment, and prior to leaving their positions. Examination items include dust, tin dioxide, methyl methacrylate, copper dust, isopropanol, ethyl acetate, n-heptane, cyclohexane, noise, laser radiation, power-frequency electric fields, acrylic acid, ultraviolet radiation, X-ray external radiation, absolute ethanol, ethanolamine, and ethanol. A total of 274 employees were required to undergo examinations, achieving a 100% examination rate. For employees with abnormal examination results, follow-up reexaminations are arranged. If abnormal results are identified in two consecutive examinations, the condition is classified as an occupational contraindication, and the employee will be reassigned internally to avoid health hazards caused by repeated exposure. In 2025, all examination results were normal.

 

 

 

Health Protection

 

In line with the Occupational Safety and Health Act's emerging workplace health issues, the Company will collaborate with occupational safety personnel and occupational disease specialists to implement four major programs for managing workers' physical and mental health. These programs cover hazard identification, risk assessment and control, and effectiveness evaluation, aiming to effectively reduce employees' exposure to hazards and the risk of occupational diseases. For Taiwan plants, the Company has developed operational guidelines and related measures focused on maternal health, ergonomics, abnormal workload, and suitable work for middle-aged and elderly workers.

Health Promotion

 

★ 71 health promotion activities held, with 3,631 participants recorded ★

Based on the results of annual health examinations, the Health Management Department formulates and implements annual health promotion plans covering employees’ physical and mental health needs. Specific initiatives include promoting middle-aged and senior employee care, eye care campaigns, weight management programs, and cancer screening activities, as well as organizing complimentary traditional Chinese medicine consultation and therapy services and diversified health seminars. In addition, the Company promotes balanced nutrition through the provision of healthy lunch boxes, assisting employees in practicing healthy lifestyles. Going forward, the Company will continue to deepen health education initiatives for employees of all age groups and is committed to creating a healthy, energetic, and friendly working environment.

 

“Wisdom Generation” Friendly Workplace Program”

  • Health Risk Assessment and Early Intervention
    ✔ Free annual electrocardiogram (ECG) examinations are provided to all employees aged 45 and above. Health education and medical referrals are arranged for those with high blood pressure or abnormal ECG results.

    ✔ Employees are invited annually to complete self-perceived health and overwork surveys. Cardiovascular disease risk assessments are also conducted during annual health examination.

    ✔ In 2024, a total of 1,182 employees completed a 10-year cardiovascular disease risk assessment. In 2025, individualized health consultations with physicians were arranged for 59 employees identified as high-risk based on the assessment results. These consultations provided health improvement recommendations, job suitability evaluations, and necessary medical referral assistance to reduce cardiovascular disease risks.

  • To address the healthcare and retirement planning needs of the Wisdom Generation employees, diversified health promotion activities were organized with themes centered on disease prevention, medical insurance, and health management. In 2025, health promotion activities for the Wisdom Generation included “All About Shingles: More Than You Know”, “Health Without Worries, Wealth Lasting — Mastering Key Financial Strategies”, and “Calcium for Strong Bones and Sharp Minds”. A total of 350 participants were recorded, with an average satisfaction score of 9.6 (out of 10).

  • As employees age, the Wisdom Generation employees are more likely to experience gradual muscle loss and declines in muscular endurance, which may affect quality of life and work efficiency. To help employees better understand their health conditions, complimentary technology-based physical fitness assessments were conducted. Assessment items included body composition analysis, cardiopulmonary fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility testing. A total of 146 employees participated, achieving an average satisfaction score of 10 (out of 10). Follow-up health evaluations and health education initiatives were subsequently provided to strengthen awareness and emphasis on personal health management.

     

“Bright Vision” Eye Care Program

  • Complimentary vision screening activities were conducted to help employees identify vision abnormalities at an early stage, facilitating subsequent follow-up and eye care management while reducing vision-related health risks. A total of 423 employees participated, with an average satisfaction score of 9.6 (out of 10).

  • To further understand employees’ eye health conditions, the Company organized the “Join the EYE Care Movement Together! Pre- and Post-Assessment Self-Check Program”, integrating diversified activities such as “eye care awareness promotion”, “eye care seminars”, and “vision screenings”. These activities helped employees evaluate their eye care practices and improvements in visual habits. A total of 946 participants were recorded, with an average satisfaction score of 9.7 (out of 10).

  • The Company also organized the “Modern Eye Disorders in the Multi-Display Era” eye care seminar, inviting ophthalmologists to elaborate the causes of common eye diseases and share practical eye care tips and daily health care practices. The seminar helped employees establish proper eye usage habits and reduce visual fatigue and related health risks. A total of 125 participants were recorded, with an average satisfaction score of 9.5 (out of 10).
      

“Caring for You and Me: Women’s Health Safeguard Initiative”

  • Taiwan plants: Wei Gong Memorial Hospital and Sin-Lau Hospital were invited to provide on-site women’s cancer screening services. Examination items included Pap smear testing, human papillomavirus (HPV) testing for women, breast ultrasound examinations, and pelvic ultrasound examinations. A total of 128 employees participated, with an average satisfaction score of 10 (out of 10).

  • Kunshan plants: Experts from the Zhenchuan Health Service Center were invited to provide on-site cervical cancer screening services for female employees, helping employees identify precancerous lesions or infection symptoms at an early stage. A total of 68 employees participated.

     

“Positive Workplace, Positive Mindset” Seminars

  • “The Right Distance”: To help employees better understand common workplace emotions and sources of stress, the Company collaborated with the Public Health Bureau, Hsinchu City and invited counseling psychologists to the Headquarters to guide employees in understanding the functions of emotions, the impact of emotions on work under conflict situations, and strategies for emotional adjustment, boundary setting, and conflict management. The seminar helped employees assess their personal mental state and become familiar with professional support resources. A total of 37 employees participated, with an average satisfaction score of 8.8 (out of 10).

  • “Workplace Stress Relief Guide”: To enhance employees’ stress management capabilities, the Company collaborated with the Miaoli County Government and invited counseling psychologists to the Chunan plant to guide employees in exploring the effects of stress on physical and mental health, analyzing workplace stress and interpersonal communication challenges, and practicing stress transformation and mindfulness relaxation techniques. A total of 22 employees participated, with an average satisfaction score of 9.3 (out of 10).
      

Weight Management and Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy

  • Fat Reduction Program: Kunshan plants organized a 42-day fat reduction program, inviting employees to participate by department teams and encouraging teammates to exercise regularly in pursuit of final victory. A total of 68 employees collectively lost 242.9 kg over the 42-day period.

  • Health Management Month: Wujiang plants organized a 30-day Health Management Month program. Through one-on-one guidance, employees were encouraged to exercise regularly and develop healthy dietary habits, helping them master health management methods, reduce the incidence of chronic diseases, and maintain mental well-being. A total of 15 employees participated.

  • Complimentary Traditional Chinese Medicine Consultation Services: China plants organized four Complimentary traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) consultation and therapy services, inviting external TCM physicians to the plants to assess employees’ physical conditions and provide bone density testing, therapeutic massage, and acupuncture treatments. TCM knowledge-sharing seminars were also conducted to raise  employees’ awareness of health management. A total of 332 participants were recorded.
