Coretronic Has Passed the SA8000 Certification to Demonstrate the Company's Commitment to Human Rights and Sustainability.
Coretronic Corporation (5371.TW), a TPEx-listed company known for its excellence in sustainability, has passed the SA8000 certification. The certification has demonstrated that it complied with international best practice standards in several aspects, including labor rights, employee healthcare and safety, the prohibition of child and forced labor, fair wages, reasonable working hours, and freedom of association. These actions reflect the company’s commitment to corporate sustainability management.
SA8000 is a standard developed by Social Accountability International (SAI), one of the most authoritative organizations in the field of human rights and labor management systems. It is now being used to evaluate the social responsibility of global supply chains. In this case, the certification was evaluated and reviewed by the third party to conduct a specific audit based on the SA8000 standard, ensuring that every policy, record, and on-site condition meets the required criteria.
Franck Ho, the CFO and a member of the ESG committee at Coretronic, stated, “To manage a company, employees are the core element of corporate sustainability. Therefore, Coretronic believes that competition is not only about technological innovation, but also respect for employees and responsibility to society. That is the reason we proactively establish internal systems and employee training programs to ensure that all plants comply with international human rights and labor standards. Through the establishment of human rights and social responsibility policies, the implementation of human rights protection measures, and the improvement of working conditions, we aim to create a safe, healthy, and equitable work environment. The key factor that enabled us to pass the SA8000 certification is the efforts of all our colleagues. It strengthens the foundation of trust we present to international clients and supply chain partners. As the next step, we will enhance our management processes, deepen the commitment to corporate social responsibility, and cooperate with supply chain partners to create sustainable value.”
Justin Wang, a consultant at JS Consulting, said, “During the SA8000 consulting project, division-level managers of Coretronic were highly supportive. In addition, each unit actively joined the project, helping to strengthen internal processes and meet international standard requirements. JS Consulting is honored to assist Coretronic in establishing its social responsibility system and looks forward to future performance in sustainability.”
Jack Yeh, the general manager of TUV, the third-party institution, also mentioned, “Congratulations to Coretronic for passing the certification. We believe that implementing SA8000 can help further highlight the social aspects of ESG, while bringing value to the industry to enhance overall value. Finally, wish that Coretronic will continue to achieve outstanding development.
