Coretronic Reality Inc. and Champ Vision Display Collaborates with Qualcomm to Drive the Future by Integrating Generative Edge AI into Intelligent Retail AI Agents

The rapid development of generative AI has sparked a new wave of intelligent, interactive customer experiences, and edge computing has become the key technology for generative AI applications. Coretronic Reality Inc. (CRI), a subsidiary of Coretronic Group, and Champ Vision Display Inc. (CVD) is launching its latest edge computing platform and intelligent display solutions at the upcoming Embedded World 2025 (Hall 5, Booth 5-254). In collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, [the platform/solution] will utilize cutting-edge technology to deliver an immersive, AI-driven in-store experience for retailers, while optimizing operational efficiency.

One of the key platforms on display is a SOM (System on Module) based on the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 processor. The platform supports multiple operating systems (Linux, Android, Ubuntu, Windows IoT Enterprise), allowing customers to easily integrate this module into various retail devices or upgrade existing systems. This high-performance platform can be widely applied in smart retail devices—from interactive information kiosks and digital signage to automated checkout systems—helping retailers accelerate the development and deployment of various intelligent solutions.

The solution combines CVD’s high-resolution, high-brightness display technology with built-in AI sensors to enable real-time generative AI natural language interactive agents that provide users with information, allowing retailers to attract customers in an unprecedented personalized manner and enhance convenience. In addition, all generative AI is processed on the local device with privacy safeguards in place to ensure the security of users' personal information. This intelligent display solution adopts an energy-efficient design, reflecting CRI and CVD’s commitment to environmental sustainability, and ensuring that smart retail innovations combine robust performance with eco-friendly benefits.

This collaboration demonstrates how the fusion of CRI’s edge AI computing expertise, CVD’s innovative display technology, and Qualcomm Technologies’ cutting-edge processors is transforming the retail experience. By seamlessly integrating AI analytics with immersive visual displays, retailers are provided with a powerful platform for creating interactive, engaging, and efficient shopping experiences. Looking ahead, CRI and CVD plan to explore even higher-performance AI-plus-display integrated solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of smart retail and other sectors, driving the widespread adoption of edge AI in various consumer experience scenarios.

Dr. Nore Chen, General Manager of Coretronic Reality Inc., stated, “Our collaboration with Champ Vision Display and Qualcomm Technologies is an innovative attempt to utilize our respective strengths, opening up new horizons for intelligent retail applications.
