Coretronic Unveils World's First Single-Chip DLP with MCLA™

Coretronic unveils its 12,000-lumens curved blending solution and its 10,000-lumens ultra-short-throw laser projection system based on its proprietary single-chip DLP MCLATM (Multi Color Light Architecture). In conventional single-color laser designs, any increase in contrast and brightness always comes at the cost of decreased red performance. The MCLA laser optical architecture, the first of its type in the world, solves this problem by combining multiple pure-color lasers with a dual-color-wheel SSI optical architecture to deliver vivid, saturated color performance without compromising on brightness. The result satisfies the Rec. 709 standard and can be extended to deliver the breathtaking visuals promised by DCI-P3 wide color space in the future. The projected visuals are far more realistic and lifelike. Red performance in particular is so vivid and true to life that it offers an unprecedented level of immersion.

President S.Y. Chen of Coretronic's Visual Solutions Business Group stated that Coretronic’s status as a leader in visual solutions, followed by other companies, meant the development of this all-new optical technology was not the product of mere chance. First, years of research and market experience showed Coretronic that users were forced by conventional optical architecture to make a choice between brightness and saturation. This provided a pain point and therefore a focus for innovation. Overall system design is just as important as breakthroughs in optical technology as well. Noise reduction and exceptional cooling are both necessary to ensure reliable overall performance. These were all only made possible by more than two decades of real-world R&D experience at Coretronic. For existing partners and potential future customers, Coretronic always follows the philosophy of building solid foundations, embracing innovative breakthroughs, and providing an irreplaceable sense of trust and reliability. This is what makes Coretronic's professional engineering visual solutions the best choice for high-brightness performance and exhibition applications.

ISE 2017 will be held at the Amsterdam RAI exhibition center from the 7th to the 10th February. The Coretronic booth, located at 1-N130, will feature the professional solid-state illumination visual solutions it has developed for the corporate, education, large venue, digital signage, home entertainment, exhibition display, and mobile markets.
