In an effort to promote and realize ESG, we established the “Firefly Volunteer Club” in 2011 but changed its name to “Firefly Volunteer Team” in 2015. In 2018, we instituted the “Management Regulations for Firefly Volunteer Team” to include paid volunteer leave during holidays, a volunteer reward system, annual volunteer assembly, annual volunteer day, and volunteer training courses. A total of 174 volunteers at Coretronic are categorized into different volunteer groups, namely “Charitable Volunteers,” “Environmental Protection Volunteers,” and “Product Volunteers,” which are in charge of charity, environmental protection, and product introduction and installation, respectively. Volunteer Day—Share Love • Save Earth
Since 2020, Coretronic collaborated with the social enterprise “Give Circle”, inviting employees to donate practical secondhand items from home (such as, 3C products, home appliances, clothing, stationery and books, toys, etc.), as well as brand-new personal care products and food. Achievement until December 31, 2024:

2020－Auction Event at Dayou Elementary School, Chiayi County: To encourage students to read and develop altruism, the principal and teachers of Dayou Elementary School in Chiayi County organized an auction where students could bid for their favorite stationery items using points earned from reading and demonstrating good character. Motivated by the items they wanted, the students enthusiastically read books and actively participated in service activities to collect points, allowing them to truly appreciate the relationship between effort and reward.
2021: Suppliers were invited to participate for the first time. Moreover, Coretronic President, Sarah Lin generously donated a variety of new home appliances and daily necessities to boost engagement in the event.
2022: We especially included makeup tools in the donation list to support the Educational Association’s “Gorgeous Yourself” charity project. This initiative helps women, elders, and people with disabilities who may not even own a single set of makeup or skincare products. Through this event, they can feel beautiful and confident. Overall, the activities received strong support from female participants.
2023: The Corporate Carbon Reduction Results APP Page was revised to make it easier to see key outcomes, including the number of shares, carbon reduction data, impact distribution (item flow), and appreciation messages from recipient organizations.
2024: Through the Kuen Tai Cultural and Educational Foundation's “Joy for Remote Areas—Christmas Wish Adoption Campaign”, the donated stuffed toys were given to students of Yising Primary School and Chenggong Elementary School in Shuishang Township, Chiayi County, who had completed the “Character Story Camp” and “Adventure Challenge Camp”, fulfilling their Christmas wishes and bringing joy and encouragement to the children.
